Gregs knowledge and passion of the trade along with his desire to see the family business grow, saw him develop an interest in Antique and Vintage jewellery. He saw an oppurtunity to pass its value and quality on to the growing Powells' customer base. He spent many a 'day off' frequenting auction houses across the nation in his quest for fabulous pieces of vintage and antique jewellery to offer our customers.

Always looking to expand his Knowledge - Greg took it upon himself to study gemstones at night school in Liverpool, successfully achieving his Fellowship of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain (F.G.A.) In June 1986.The Family business continued to grow, opening further shops in Rhos-On-Sea, then after that Llandudno. In 2001 a forced closure of the Llandudno shop, due to an unsafe building, saw the family in search for a new project.....

In September 2002 Greg fulfilled a lifelong dream of his Parents and opened a Shop in Chester, on the old premises of the well established G.J.H. Brown & Sons at 2 Eastgate Row. With the help of his trusty staff the business continued to flourish and in December 2010 Powells' opened a second shop in Chester, Just around the corner at 3 Bridge Street row which is where they now showcase a fabulous range of new, contemporary Jewellery.
