Our History

Where it all began
Our first shop opened in Rhyl, North Wales in the sixties. The shop was run by Dave and Joan Powell, who utilised an old bank and turned it into a beautiful Antique Jewellers.
Relocation
In 1972, the shop was relocated from Rhyl, just 5 miles down the road to the small seaside town of Prestatyn.
Our Second Shop
In 2004, we decided to take on the city life and open our second shop in the centre of the ancient Roman city of Chester. I was joined by my son Will to help launch the new shop, taking over the previously owned premises of GJH Brown & Sons.
A New Venture
To compliment our Antique & Period Jewellery store, we decided to open a second store in Chester. The Contemporary shop is situated on an adjacent row, providing a design-led modern experience.
The Future
With the help of our welcoming and knowledgeable staff members, we hope to continue providing a high level service for customers old and new.
"We pride ourselves on being a family business now in its third generation. A member of the Powell family is to be found working in every shop, every day, offering a warm welcome to friends old and new."Greg Powell Owner
